Grown Up Field Trip Throwback at the Maryland Science Center

We’re throwing it all the way back to the late 1900s to relive the very best part of the elementary school experience—a field trip to the Maryland Science Center. And this time, you can do it with a beer in your hand! Hop aboard our time machine and experience being a kid again.

Feel the power of static electricity and make your hair stand on end with our Van de Graaff generator

Visit the Demo Stage to catch a retro science show performed by our expert educators

Drop by our makerspace to design your own pogs to restart your collection

Dress your nostalgic best to replicate a “picture day” photo op—neon laser beam backdrop included, of course!

Grab a cold one—our friends from Ministry of Brewing will be on-site

No need to pack a brown bag lunch, Ruben’s Food Truck will be on-site serving up delicious tacos

And many more games and activities that will help to recreate the quintessential field trip experience

Event Details:

This event is part of the Maryland Science Center’s Adult Programs for ages 21+. A valid ID is required upon arrival. Admission includes participation in all on-floor activities and access to select exhibits. Drinks will be available for purchase via electronic payment from Ministry of Brewing. Food will be available for purchase from Ruben’s Food Truck. This event is expected to sell out.

All proceeds benefit the educational programs at the Maryland Science Center.
